Job Description


Our client, a cutting-edge research and development company dedicated to understanding and impacting human aging, is seeking a dynamic Sr. IT Support Specialist (Contractor) to elevate their internal technology experience. In this role, you will be the go-to technical expert responsible for ensuring seamless IT operations across our organization. You will handle day-to-day employee support, manage endpoint and device lifecycle processes, automate workflows, and help build scalable IT systems that support the Company's innovative research mission. Your proactive mindset, technical expertise, and customer-first approach will directly influence our employee experience and operational efficiency.
 

What You’ll Bring to the Table:
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in macOS, hardware, and endpoint management
  • Experience supporting cloud-based platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and related identity and access management systems
  • Hands-on scripting abilities using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar languages
  • Knowledge of supporting conference rooms and AV systems, including Google Meet and Zoom Rooms
  • Familiarity with device management platforms like Jamf, Intune, and Apple Business Manager
  • Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent documentation skills for creating SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge articles
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, onsite environment
  • Tier 1 - 3 experience 

Job Requirements


Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience supporting Linux workstations
  • Certifications such as Google Workspace Administrator, Microsoft 365 Certified, Jamf, or similar
  • Knowledge of GCP, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, or version control systems
  • Prior experience in scientific, biotech, life sciences, or R&D environments


Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT operations, technical support, or systems administration


Additional Requirements:
  • This position requires onsite work five days per week
  • Willingness to support a diverse range of technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Relevant certifications and experience supporting scientific or biotech settings are advantageous
