Job Description


Our client, a pioneer in aging research, is committed to unlocking the secrets of human longevity through cutting-edge technology and collaborative scientific discovery. As they innovate and modernize their infrastructure to support world-class R&D efforts, they are seeking a talented Sr. IT Infrastructure Engineer to be a pivotal part of this transformative journey.

In this role, you will leverage your expertise to maintain and support existing on-premises infrastructure while leading initiatives to migrate and optimize our systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your work will directly empower our scientists and researchers to achieve breakthroughs that could redefine healthcare and longevity.


What You’ll Bring:
  • 5+ years of experience managing enterprise on-premises infrastructure, including virtualization, storage, backup, and data center operations
  • 5+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure management, preferably with GCP
  • Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Linux environments, and enterprise infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and hybrid identity management
  • Proficiency with GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC, and GKE
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, and scripting with Python or Bash
  • Strong grasp of networking fundamentals—TCP/IP, routing, firewalls—and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to document architecture standards, operational procedures, and recovery plans effectively
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards such as NIST CSF, SOC 2, and ISO 27001, and partner with security teams on compliance and vulnerability management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Self-motivated, proactive, with excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset
  • Willingness to work onsite at least four days per week

Job Requirements


Nice to Have:
  • Certifications like Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • Experience with research or scientific computing environments
  • Knowledge of cluster file systems such as Ceph or Lustre
  • Experience managing source code repositories like GitHub or GitLab


Preferred Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline
  • 5+ years in infrastructure engineering with a focus on both on-premises and cloud environments
  • Proven success supporting science-driven teams in fast-paced, innovative settings


Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Research, Data Science, and Security
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving technological needs and project priorities
