Job Summary

This position provides administrative and research support to Reimbursement Policy and Market Access associates  who are analyzing reimbursement policy and appealing denied claims in a health care  environment.

  • Call center/hotline program support
  • Email and voicemail intake
  • Phone follow-up to obtain prior authorization/appeal status updates from insurance companies
  • Data entry of case information
  • Compiling appeal packets for submission to insurance companies
  • Consulting project support
  • Internet research for insurance company coverage policies
  • Materials preparation for client meetings
  • Contact management of relevant personnel at insurance companies, medical societies, etc.


Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working in a health-related environment
  • Experience working with Medicaid, Medi-cal, and Medicare insurances
  • Familiar with CPT and ICD
  • Hotline/ call center experience
  • Admin/ reception experience
  • Supporting multiple staff members
  • 2+ years of work experience in a professional setting
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, experience in data entry with various database programs
  • Internet savvy research skills
  • BS/BA degree preferred but not required
