Our client is a leading biotechnology company that discovers, develops, manufactures and commercializes medicines to treat patients with serious or life-threatening medical conditions. They are among the world' s leading biotech companies, with multiple products on the market and a promising development pipeline.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Project Management - Work with a global team of IT/informatics members and key stakeholders to develop and maintain a technology project plan: project tasks, milestone dates, status, resource allocation, dependencies, etc 
• Independently manage/resolve complex scheduling and resources conflicts
• Utilize technical (ie informatics and SDLC) and project management expertise to anticipate problems and find solutions before the problems derail our milestones or deliverables
• Develop status reports for management and team members and create technical documentation as needed
• Adhere to budgets and keep projects on track for successful completion within timelines

 

Skills:

Required Skills:

• 5-7 years of successfully executing technical project management in a complex environment
• Proven ability to concurrently manage 2-4 projects of diverse scope across functional areas
• Thorough understanding with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) – especially Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Advanced abilities with project management software (MS Project, Smartsheets, or similar)
• Software release management
• Highly organized and strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interface with a diverse group of stakeholders
• Ability to learn new software tools and processes quickly
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and a team player

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge/experience with the drug development life cycle
• Proficiency and experience in Microsoft SharePoint (from both the end user and implementation perspectives)
• Ability to author complex information in a clear and concise manner
• Experienced in delivering solutions in a large scale organization
• Software testing experience a plus


Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems (or equivalent experience) preferred.
• Or Bachelor’s in Computer Science or scientific discipline WITH 7+ years of relevant experience
