Our client is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing novel therapeutics for rare diseases.


Position Summary:
  • Our client is seeking a collaborative and mission-driven professional to join its team as Manager or Associate Director of Patient Access Operations.
  • This key hire will work closely with the Senior Director of Patient Access to support essential operational functions and help ensure patients receive timely and seamless access to therapy.
  • This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building programs, improving processes, and contributing to patient-first solutions in a fast-moving environment.
  • Responsibilities include managing the Panther patient services portal, analyzing access data, and supporting strategic enhancements to patient services.
  • The ideal candidate brings strong experience in patient or market access operations within a rare disease or specialty care setting, especially in small, growing companies navigating the critical moments of product launch.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Panther patient support portal, including setup, maintenance, reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Compile and analyze patient access and case data to support strategic insights and decision-making.
  • Generate recurring performance reports, including KPIs such as turnaround time and reimbursement metrics.
  • Support evaluation and optimization of current and future patient access programs.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of SOPs and operational documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Market Access, Compliance, Legal, and IT to ensure alignment.
  • Coordinate daily patient services workflows and serve as a key liaison for escalation management.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; healthcare-related advanced degree or certification preferred.
  • Prior experience with patient services platforms (e.g., hubs, CRMs, or portals); Panther system experience a plus.
  • Strong analytical and data reporting skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment.
  • Self-directed, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Participate in cross-functional discussions to improve patient access strategy and identify innovative approaches to support program delivery.
  • Contribute ideas to enhance patient journey mapping and ensure service design aligns with patient and caregiver needs.
  • Biotech or rare disease experience strongly preferred; prior launch experience in a small or growing company is highly valued
  • 4–8 years of experience in patient access, market access operations, or reimbursement support.
