Job Description

Position Overview:
  • Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Buyer to oversee our procure-to-pay (P2P) processes.
  • This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient procurement operations, from sourcing and supplier onboarding to order tracking and invoicing.
  • The Buyer will provide analytical support by creating customized reports, maintaining contracts, and tracking expenditure, helping to maximize cost-efficiency across labs and departments.
  • Additionally, this position offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with various teams, improve procurement systems and processes, and develop your career within a fast-paced, innovative environment.
     

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full procure-to-pay cycle: obtain quotes, onboard suppliers, negotiate pricing, issue purchase orders, track orders, and resolve invoicing inquiries.
  • Provide analytical support by developing detailed reports in Coupa Analytics and Excel, assisting labs and finance teams with spend analysis.
  • Maintain and organize contracts within Coupa, ensuring easy access and accurate tracking of terms and commitments.
  • Assist in monitoring spend against contractual agreements to promote compliance and cost savings.
  • Deliver procurement training and guidance to employees on using the Procure-to-Pay system effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify continuous process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Cultivate strong internal relationships with laboratories and departments to ensure procurement processes meet their needs swiftly and cost-effectively.

Job Requirements


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience, preferably within the biotech industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience with Coupa and Google Workspace (G Suite) is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate meaningful reports.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and a strong sense of integrity and responsibility.
  • Proven ability to see projects through to completion and adapt to evolving priorities.
