Description:
  • Responsible for supporting program manager in the performance of project management and logistics-based tasks for the Surplus Asset Management (SAM) program.
  • Develops strategy for program global expansion and site alignment.
  • Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the lab community to ensure assets are positioned appropriately based on client need and asset life.
  • Partners with clients and external workers directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
  • Assists in the development of marketing materials and process improvements.
  • Manages SharePoint site for SAM program, adding auction dates, developing communications, FAQs, etc.
  • Maintain and manage controlled documents pertaining to the SAM program.
  • Assists Program Manager(s) in identifying and prioritizing opportunities for advancing the SAM program and helping company to achieve financial goals for asset management.
  • This is an individual contributor role without human resource management responsibilities (e.g., hiring, performance management).
  • Manages one or more projects of medium to high complexity including program expansion globally.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:        
  • Coordinates multi-site logistics activities with external vendors on behalf of company and collaborates with various internal organizations in support of surplus asset management (SAM) program.
  • Generates reports from auctioned assets related to cycle time to disposition, revenue generated, potential high valued asset focus areas, and other pertinent information.
  • Participate in meetings to market and advance the program, as well as address questions that arise on a frequent basis.
  • Assess site-specific processes for asset lifecycle, identify and map process improvements.

  • 2 Years of project management (working with scientist or lab community)
  • Marketing skills (communication)
  • Ability to work autonomously and under tight project timelines
  • Organized with ability to resolve issues and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with different levels of internal leadership and external vendors
  • Grow the program, help extended globally, process improvement for the program. This opportunity is environmental conscious/ working with schools/Amgen buildings.
