Associate Director/Director - Bioanalytics/Biomarkers

Job Description


Our client is an early stage biotech company breaking new ground in its use of B-cells for oncology and protein replacement therapies.

 

Duties:
  • Work within a cross-functional translational science team and drive the execution of biomarker strategies utilizing cutting-edge technologies to assess PK, PD, correlative biomarkers, bio-distribution, and clinical activity.
  • Responsible for interpreting data from assays, relating data to regulatory agencies, and translating these findings to internal research and manufacturing teams for the betterment of our products.
  • Work across teams of top-tier scientists in R&D, clinical, and engineering to bring the program through IND and into the clinic in a dynamic start-up environment.
  • Work closely with R&D translational science and clinical teams to create strategies for developing and procuring biomarker assays.
  • Design and implement biomarker assays for measurement of PK, PD, biodistribution, and correlative studies
  • Find appropriate CROs for data collection and measurement of clinical endpoints.
  • Source and organize vendors for bioanalytical assays.
  • Manage, interpret, and communicate biomarker data to regulatory agencies and research, pre-clinical, and manufacturing teams.
  • Work with team to integrate clinical findings into next-generation products.
  • Lead planning and support of clinical assay management including training and fit-for-purpose validation.
  • Author reports for regulatory filings and company communications.

Job Requirements


Skills:
  • B-cell biology, culture, phenotyping, and functional assays.
  • Biomarker design and implementation in a clinical environment.
  • Knowledge of flow cytometry, ELISAs, protein characterization assays, sequencing, mRNA profiling.
  • Experience working in a cooperative environment with research, pre-clinical, and manufacturing.

 

Education:
  • Ph.D. in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 7+ years industrial experience with demonstrated success.
