Job Description

Summary:
  • Reporting to Head of Business Operations, the Business Coordinator duties will be varied and complex in nature.
  • We are seeking a proactive and data-driven Business Coordinator to provide exceptional business support and collaborate cross-functionally to enable daily business operations.
  • This role goes beyond traditional business support, requiring a technically proficient individual who can organize, analyze and present information in ways that enhance communications and decision-making.

Business Coordinator will be responsible for the following: 
  • Information Management – Maintain and manage internal communication channels including the TDS Intranet site including supporting information including organizational charts, program status, and project updates, ensuring information is organized, current, and accurate.
  • Event Management – Support coordination of TDS town halls, TDS connect (coffee chats), conferences, community outreach and social events. Manage budget, timelines, and post-event evaluations. Work with key stakeholders to provide input and support of the events.
  • Communications – Responsible for developing and issuing a quarterly TDS newsletter. Work with key stakeholders to provide input and develop content for the newsletter.
  • Performance Management – Generate weekly and monthly metric reports on TDS performance including safety, compliance, delivery, engagement and cost.
  • Manager Support – Facilitate the new hire onboarding process for new hire and offboarding process for those exiting TDS.
  • Technical Proficiency – Skilled in office software, virtual collaboration platforms, and able/willing to adapt to new technologies and tools.


In addition to being professional, discrete and courteous, the Business Coordinator must possess:   
  • A proven ability to perform as a Business Coordinator 
  • Quick learner and self-starter capabilities -- able to work proactively and independently on tasks 
  • Strong coordination skills and event planner capabilities 
  • Strong communication skills on all levels with executive leaders, employees, and outside vendors 
  • Responsiveness to deadlines, excellent attention to detail, and able to prioritize multiple tasks
  • A high level of professionalism working with a variety of stakeholders and having excellent customer service
  • Independent judgment and discretion with sensitive/confidential employee information 
  • A can-do attitude, ability to be flexible and adaptable 
  • Ability to receive and act on “ad-hoc” requests 
  • Ability to think creatively and translate ideas to action (e.g., newsletter, event, townhall)
  • A team-oriented work style 


Requirements: 
  • 5+ years working in a business support role 
  • Strong PC computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint), Concur expense reporting 

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
