Job Description

Our client develops, manufactures and supplies a wide array of innovative medical diagnostic products, services, test, platforms, and technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Propose and execute high quality laboratory experiments with guidance from senior team members.
  • Support projects that are immediately relevant to company milestones in a fast-paced environment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems in creative ways.
  • Learn and execute SOPs to produce critical reagents.
  • Communicate results to supervisor and project teams and propose innovative solutions to scientific challenges.
  • Uses technical writing skills to generate reports and documents in a timely manner.
  • Assumes accountability for electronic lab notebook documentation, ensuring experimental methods and results are recorded timely, accurately and consistently, and according to established formats.
  • Participates in routine lab maintenance, lab safety, ISO, and QSR implementation.
  • Performs work according to established internal safety guidelines and procedures, and as specified by appropriate external regulatory agencies (e.g., OSHA).
  • Makes recommendations and acts as appropriate to keep the lab a safe environment for all team members, including regular housekeeping tasks.
  • Maintains a clean and organized personal and communal lab space.

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills or Ability:
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
  • Very good organization skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory skills (e.g. pipetting, sterile technique)
  • Experience with handling and purifying nucleic acids and proteins.
  • Experience with assay or technology development.
  • Familiarity with next-generation sequencing platforms, PCR, automated liquid handling systems.
  • Ability to work safely within the lab and take appropriate actions to ensure lab safety.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen ability to listen to directions and company goals and execute them effectively.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all organizational levels.
Education Requirement:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biological/Life Sciences, Bioengineering, Biochemistry or related field.
  • Min. 2 years of experience.
