Our client develops, manufactures and supplies a wide array of innovative medical diagnostic products, services, tests, platforms and technologies.



The Compliance Data Privacy Specialist will serve as a key a member of the Compliance team, supporting all data privacy compliance across the Company (more than 10 sites in the US) by performing audits, risk assessments and data flow mapping. 
  • Key responsibilities include comprehensive understanding of global and US data privacy requirements, ability to effectively communicate requirements to business and identify gaps and develop effective and efficient mitigation strategies. 
  • This position will support various data integrity, privacy and other compliance initiatives, including developing, implementing, maintaining and ensuring adherence to policies and processes covering privacy of and access to information and systems within the corporate and customer environments. 
  • This includes, risk assessments, data registry/data flow, data subject requests, incident/breach response, training and client counseling.
  • S/he understands how to operationalize global legal privacy requirements into efficient and effective business processes across business areas. 
  • This position works closely with all members of management and other company legal professionals, particularly the rest of the compliance team, and other subject matter experts, and must be able to collaborate and partner effectively while owning and managing his/her own workload.


  • Manage day to day matters related to privacy, including interpretation of privacy regulations and standards and development of policies and processes in support of compliance. 
  • Support various business lines by identifying data flows and data maps and developing and completing risk assessments and mitigation plans.
  • Assist with other general corporate and business matters as required, including providing overflow support and project support within the Compliance and Legal teams.



Formal Training/Education:

  • BA/BS. 
  • Membership in International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) or other equivalent certifying body will be required within 12 months of hire.


  • At least 2 years of experience in privacy, compliance, finance, internal audit, accounting, or other applicable analytical business function. 
  • Experience with building and implementing privacy programs and/or with the medical device or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.   
  • Membership in International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) or other equivalent certifying body will be required within 12 months of hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experienced candidate must:

  • Have working knowledge and ability to quickly learn the content and requirements of various laws, regulations, industry guidance, and company compliance policies, particularly related to privacy, data disclosure, and cybersecurity, including but not limited to FDA guidance, HIPAA, and GDPR,
  • Demonstrate data analytical skills and ability to work with attention to detail,
  • Display honesty and evidence integrity, maturity, and good judgment,
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills,
  • Exercise sound and practical business judgment and the ability to think strategically and implement practical solutions,
  • Effectively communicate and interface with internal clients and third parties, as well as colleagues and business partners,
  • Ability to establish and maintain open, candid, and trusting work relationships,
  • Work efficiently, manage multiple projects, meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment, prioritize workflow, and adjust to frequent workload fluctuations.
