Associate – Protein Formulations responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

• Support formulation and development of clinical protein drug candidates 
• Apply fundamental protein chemistry principles in identifying and resolving issues related to protein formulation and development 
• Study coordination and sample management 
• Contemporaneously record all data in electronic lab notebook format 
• Communication of findings in oral presentations and written reports 
• Lab operations, including instrument management and troubleshooting 

The ideal candidate would possess: 

• Experience in protein stability studies, protein formulation, and formulation development 
• Proficiency operating and troubleshooting HPLCs 
• Working knowledge of Chromeleon for HPLC analysis 
• Working knowledge of Empower for UPLC analysis 
• Experience in subvisible particle assays (HIAC, MFI) a plus 
• Experience with capillary electrophoresis (CE) a plus 
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow procedures is critical 
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills 
• Excellent project management skills, multi-tasking, and ability to elevate relevant issues to project or supervisory lead 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with internal and external clients 
• Ability to learn new techniques and concepts independently and by recruiting the expertise of others 
• Experience with drug product process development for biologics 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 

Basic Minimum Qualifications: 
· B.S. or B.A. with 2 years experience or M.S. with 0-2 years’ experience in analytical chemistry, and degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Life Sciences with a pharmaceutical, vaccine, or biotechnology background. Biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.
