Our client develops, manufactures and supplies a wide array of innovative medical diagnostic products, services, tests, platforms and technologies.


The Technical Lead will be responsible for implementing technical solutions to enable Roche Sequencing Research & Development business capabilities.  Candidates must demonstrate solid software development lifecycle experience, ability to work on cross-functional teams with both technical and non-technical team members, and desire to learn and grow within the organization. Candidates must have strong software development life cycle experience to be able to drive and support best practice, quality, and consistency within design and construction phases of application development. Candidate must be able to provide accurate work estimates based on business requirements analysis and deliver high quality solutions to meet evolving business needs.


  • Analyze, design, code, and test software to meet business and system requirements
  • Adhere to high quality software development standards
  • Support systems through monitoring, response to service problems, defect resolution, writing software and building automation to prevent problems from recurring
  • Participate in service capacity planning and software performance analysis and tuning
  • Apply current technology, tools and techniques according to established standard practices
  • Development of operating procedures and training of support organizations
  • Knowledge of information technology and expertise in a specific business or functional area
  • Provide work estimates, identify risks and dependencies for new systems, implementation plans for enhancements, defect fixes
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, drawings and supporting system documentation
  • Participate in technical peer reviews (design reviews, code walk-throughs, test reviews, and root cause analysis sessions)


  • Experience in full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering, design, software development, testing and retirement of systems
  • Experience with both agile and waterfall software development methodologies
  • Experience in programming languages, design tools, source code control, testing tools, and monitoring tools
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements including CRF Part 11 / EU Annex 11, GxP and computer systems validation
  • Strong technical foundation in an advanced structured programming language and environment
  • Experience with programming languages and technologies such as Java, Javascript, HTML 5, PHP, Perl, Python, integration middleware, web services
  • Experience with software development tools such as GitHub Enterprise, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, JIRA, HP ALM, etc …
  • Experience with Linux operating systems and database tools

  • Bachelor or Master degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications or related field
  • 7+ years of Java/Python/Other Object Oriented development
  • Demonstrated experience supporting an enterprise-level applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Work experience in Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry
