Senior Manager, Market Planning
  • Leverage market knowledge, primary and secondary data, KPIs to develop narrative about brand performance, outlook, and prepare forecast recommendations
  • Present objective insights, communicate recommendations in a compelling way and influence decisions made by a variety of partners up to and including Franchise and Business Unit Heads
  • Collaborate with partner groups to deliver integrated business insights that are actionable and relevant, while considering a holistic view of the brand and franchise performance
  • Advise Commercial leadership on business drivers affecting performance and forecasts
  • Guide organization in managing Net Sales and Demand risks by facilitating discussions about risks and opportunities and quantifying them in an objective way
  • Partner with brand and other stakeholders to provide insights to help inform, shape and influence business strategies and plans
  • Support (and lead, if applicable) implementation of department wide initiatives & goals
     

Skills:
  • Provide an objective commercial viewpoint based on an in-depth understanding and analysis of commercial, clinical, and scientific competitive information
  • Evaluate the market landscape and monitor changes in market dynamics
  • Synthesize data and identify implications of market and competitive impacts on brands
  • Act as a go-to person for demand and performance questions
  • Successfully employ secondary and primary market research techniques to accomplish the short-term forecast
  • Experience in developing and Excel-based models as well as other quantitative and qualitative resources to perform analyses
  • Demonstrate ability to be customer facing as well as work closely in teams
     

Education:
  • BS/BA with business, finance or science concentration preferred MBA or other related Graduate-level Degree is preferred
  • 4 or more years' work experience in strategic consulting or other analytical work in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or other industries
  • Experience in revenue forecasting, including trending and uncertainty analyses 
  • Experience developing and using Excel-based models as well as other quantitative and qualitative resources to perform analyses
